Selling PC parts from Stone Oak

Done with a desktop in Stone Oak, or holding a box of the parts that came out of one? Both are cash. Whole or parted out changes your quote, so get it online first, then load the car once.

Where we are, and which door

We are at 11503 Jones Maltsberger Rd, north of San Antonio International Airport and south of Wurzbach Parkway. Maps will get you to the building. What it will not tell you is which door, so here it is.

Park at the front of the building. Inside, go straight down the hallway to Suite 1138 — reviewers tend to describe it as the last door on the right, which is the more useful direction of the two.

We are open Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM, and closed Sunday and Monday. No appointment. Bring a valid photo ID, 18 or over. Full directions and what to expect →

Bring the whole machine, or just the parts?

This is the question worth settling before you load the car, because it changes what you drive over with.

A complete desktop gets priced two ways: as a working system, and as the sum of the parts worth reselling. You see both prices and you pick the higher one. Neither is a negotiating position — we do not open low and work up, because that habit is exactly why people expect to be treated badly at a place like this.

  • Bring it whole

If the machine boots. A working system can be worth more assembled than stripped, and we can only tell you that if we can turn it on.

  • Bring the parts

If it does not boot, or if you have already pulled the good bits for a new build. Loose graphics cards, processors, memory and drives are all bought on their own.

  • Bring the cooler and the box

If you still have them. Both move the quote, and neither is worth a second trip on its own.

What we will not take, before you drive

Reading this now beats finding it out after the car is loaded.

  • Not bought at all

Televisions, games consoles, tablets, smartphones, Apple products, printers, Chromebooks, networking equipment and loose power supplies.

  • Not bought in this condition

Locked devices — iCloud, BIOS or MDM — water damage, cracked laptop screens, and drives that fail their health check.

If what you have is too old to be worth buying, bring it anyway. We recycle computer gear free at the same location, so the drive is never wasted. The full list is here.

What happens once you are here

  1. We log what you brought — model, condition and serial — in front of you, before anything is plugged in. Ask and we will print you a copy.
  2. We ask before anything goes to the bench. Testing happens on our workshop benches rather than out front, and customers cannot come back there; it is an insurance and security rule, the same as any workshop. Reckon on ten to fifteen minutes per item.
  3. We confirm your online quote. If the item is as described, it stands. If a fault turns up, we show you the fault, offer a parts price, and you decide.
  4. Say yes and you are paid the same day, in cash or by company check.

Common questions

Do you come out to Stone Oak to collect?

Not for household sales — those are brought in. On-site collection exists for business lots and office clearouts, so if that is what you have, call (210) 710-2020 and ask.

Can I get a quote before I load the car?

Yes, and you should. Get your quote online first: pick the category and find your parts or the whole PC. CPUs, GPUs, memory and storage drives get a quote on screen in about a minute. Gaming PCs get an instant estimate on screen, then a confirmed quote by email, usually within 1–2 hours. Laptops, motherboards and monitors get a custom quote by email, usually within 1–2 hours. For anything not listed, call or text (210) 710-2020 with a photo.

Is the offer final once I arrive?

Your online quote stands unless the item is not as described or part of it fails testing. The offer you are given in person is what you are paid. A ballpark quoted over the phone is exactly that until the hardware is in front of us — which is why we would rather test it than guess at it.

What do I need to bring with me?

The hardware and a valid photo ID. You need to be 18 or over. We record the ID and the serial numbers, which is a condition of buying secondhand hardware, not an inconvenience we invented.

Get your quote. Load the car once.

Get your quote now. Some are instant, the rest usually come back within two hours. Then walk in Tuesday to Saturday, no appointment, and leave with cash or a company check the same day. Too old to be worth buying? We recycle it free, so the trip is never wasted.
