Sell RAM San Antonio

Memory is the part people assume is worthless. It usually isn't, matched kits especially. Tell us what you have, get a quote, and walk out with cash when you bring it in.

Why not just list it

Cash today beats maybe-money in three weeks.

A patient private sale can pay more; it also takes weeks, and it rarely goes to plan — lowball messages, no-shows, a stranger in a parking lot. Here you see how much we pay before you leave the house, and the cash is in your hand the day you walk in. Off your floor, into your pocket.

What we buy

The list, in plain terms.

DDR5
Desktop DIMMs and laptop SO-DIMMs, any speed
DDR4
Still the volume seller — desktop and laptop
DDR3
Yes, still bought, though the prices are small
ECC and registered
Server memory, tested on server boards
Kits
Matched 2, 4 and 8-stick sets — worth more together than apart

Not seeing yours? See what we don't buy. And if it turns out to be too old to be worth buying, we recycle it free on the same visit.

How we price it

What moves the price, and by how much.

Our pricing is a percentage of what the item is currently selling for used, and we update those figures weekly. Beyond that, these are the things we actually look at.

  1. 01

    Matched kits beat loose sticks

Two sticks sold as a tested matched pair are worth more than the same two sold separately. Bring the whole set, even if one is faulty.

  2. 02

    Capacity per stick

A single 32GB stick is generally worth more than two 16GB sticks, because it leaves upgrade room.

  3. 03

    Speed and timings

Matters more on DDR5 than it ever did on DDR4. Faster kits with tight timings carry a real premium.

  4. 04

    Heat spreaders

Cosmetic, mostly. Bent or missing spreaders knock a little off. They do not make a stick unsellable.

  5. 05

    Testing

Every stick gets a memory pass. A kit that fails on one stick is still worth something. We just price it as what it is.

We don’t open low and negotiate up. The quote you’re given is the price. More on how we price →

No surprises

Three steps. One trip. Paid.

  1. Get your quote before you drive. Find your item on this site and see how much we pay, in real time. Accept it and it’s emailed to you, so you arrive with the quote already in writing.
  2. Bring it in, no appointment. We log the model, condition and serial number in front of you (photo ID, 18 or over), then check it on the workshop bench — about ten to fifteen minutes per item. Your quote stands unless the item isn’t as described or part of it fails; then we show you what we found, offer a parts price, and you decide.
  3. Walk out paid. Cash or a company check, same day, before you leave. Say no at any point and take it home — no fee, no hard feelings.

We record the serial number and the seller’s ID on every purchase, and hand the bill of sale to law enforcement if they ask. That’s why we need your ID, and why stolen hardware doesn’t come through this door.

Not sure exactly what you have?

Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc, open Performance, click Memory — you will see capacity, speed and form factor. The label on the stick has the part number.

Common questions

Before you drive over.

Is one stick of RAM worth selling?

Yes, though less than a pair. Single sticks sell to people topping up an existing build, so capacity and speed matter more than brand.

Do you buy laptop memory?

Yes — SO-DIMM DDR5, DDR4 and DDR3. Laptop memory is easy to pull and easy to forget about, and it is worth the same kind of money as desktop memory.

What if one stick in my kit is dead?

Bring the whole kit anyway. We test each stick, price the working ones, and tell you which one failed. You are not penalised for being honest about it.

Get your quote, then bring it in.
