Sell Laptop San Antonio

A laptop you no longer use is cash sitting in a bag, and business models are worth more than people expect. Get a quote, bring it in Tuesday to Saturday, and get paid before you leave.

QUOTE BY EMAIL, USUALLY 1–2 HRS OPEN TUE–SAT 12:00–5:30 · NO APPOINTMENT PAID CASH, SAME DAY

Custom quote by email: usually within 1–2 hours during business hours, and never later than one business day.

Why not just list it

Cash today beats maybe-money in three weeks.

A patient private sale can pay more; it also takes weeks, and it rarely goes to plan — lowball messages, no-shows, a stranger in a parking lot. Here you see how much we pay before you leave the house, and the cash is in your hand the day you walk in. Off your floor, into your pocket.

How we price it

What moves the price, and by how much.

Our pricing is a percentage of what the item is currently selling for used, and we update those figures weekly. Beyond that, these are the things we actually look at.

  1. 01

    Battery health

Measured, not guessed. A worn battery is a known replacement cost, and it comes off the quote by that much.

  2. 02

    Screen condition

The most expensive thing to fix. We do not buy cracked screens at all.

  3. 03

    Processor generation

The main driver of what a machine is worth once it is working.

  4. 04

    Storage and memory

Upgradeable machines are worth more than soldered ones.

  5. 05

    The charger

Bring it. Proprietary chargers are annoying to source, and their absence comes off the price.

We don’t open low and negotiate up. The quote you’re given is the price. More on how we price →

No surprises

Three steps. One trip. Paid.

  1. Get your quote before you drive. Describe it, add a photo, and the quote is in your inbox, usually within 1–2 hours during business hours, and never later than one business day. We often answer evenings and weekends too. Accept it and bring it in.
  2. Bring it in, no appointment. We log the model, condition and serial number in front of you (photo ID, 18 or over), then check it on the workshop bench — about ten to fifteen minutes per item. Your quote stands unless the item isn’t as described or part of it fails; then we show you what we found, offer a parts price, and you decide.
  3. Walk out paid. Cash or a company check, same day, before you leave. Say no at any point and take it home — no fee, no hard feelings.

We record the serial number and the seller’s ID on every purchase, and hand the bill of sale to law enforcement if they ask. That’s why we need your ID, and why stolen hardware doesn’t come through this door.

Your data

Every drive we buy is securely erased, at no charge.

After the purchase, free, and you can watch if you ask. Want it in writing? A Certificate of Data Destruction is printed on request. Rather keep the drive and sell the rest? Fine and normal — the quote is just lower without it.

Not sure exactly what you have?

The service tag or serial is on a sticker underneath. That one string tells us the exact configuration the machine shipped with.

Still stuck? Call or text (210) 710-2020 and describe it, or bring the whole machine and we'll identify it for you.

Common questions

Before you drive over.

Do you buy MacBooks?

No. Apple products are outside what we handle, along with Chromebooks, tablets and smartphones. We would rather say that plainly here than have you drive over to find out.

My laptop screen is cracked. Will you take it?

No — a cracked screen is one of our hard nos, because the repair costs more than the machine usually returns. If it is otherwise dead weight, bring it anyway and we will recycle it free.

Is a laptop with a dead battery still worth selling?

Usually yes. A battery is a known, cheap replacement. It comes off the quote, but it rarely takes the whole quote with it.

Get your quote, then bring it in.

We're at 11503 Jones Maltsberger Rd #1138, north of the airport, south of Wurzbach Parkway — Suite 1138, straight down the hallway, last door on the right. Tuesday to Saturday, no appointment, cash the same day. Bring a valid photo ID.

The phone is answered “Alamo Geeks” — that's us. Buyback Geeks is our buyback division, same building, same people.
