Sell Motherboard San Antonio
A board on its own is worth modest money. The same board with its CPU and memory is a working platform, and worth considerably more. Either way: get a quote, bring it in, get paid the same day.
Custom quote by email: usually within 1–2 hours during business hours, and never later than one business day.
Why not just list it
Cash today beats maybe-money in three weeks.
A patient private sale can pay more; it also takes weeks, and it rarely goes to plan — lowball messages, no-shows, a stranger in a parking lot. Here you see how much we pay before you leave the house, and the cash is in your hand the day you walk in. Off your floor, into your pocket.

How we price it
What moves the price, and by how much.
Our pricing is a percentage of what the item is currently selling for used, and we update those figures weekly. Beyond that, these are the things we actually look at.
-
01
Bundle it
The single biggest lever on this page. A tested board, CPU and memory set sells as a platform. A bare board sells as a spare.
-
02
Socket currency
AM5 and LGA 1700 hold value. Older sockets fall away fast once nobody is building on them.
-
03
Socket pin condition
On Intel boards the pins sit in the socket and they are delicate, so we inspect under magnification before quoting.
-
04
I/O shield and accessories
A missing I/O shield is a small deduction, and easy to forget. Check the box if you still have it.
-
05
Chipset tier
A B-series board is worth less than the X or Z equivalent on the same socket, and that gap is usually wider than people expect.

No surprises
Three steps. One trip. Paid.
- Get your quote before you drive. Describe it, add a photo, and the quote is in your inbox, usually within 1–2 hours during business hours, and never later than one business day. We often answer evenings and weekends too. Accept it and bring it in.
- Bring it in, no appointment. We log the model, condition and serial number in front of you (photo ID, 18 or over), then check it on the workshop bench — about ten to fifteen minutes per item. Your quote stands unless the item isn’t as described or part of it fails; then we show you what we found, offer a parts price, and you decide.
- Walk out paid. Cash or a company check, same day, before you leave. Say no at any point and take it home — no fee, no hard feelings.
We record the serial number and the seller’s ID on every purchase, and hand the bill of sale to law enforcement if they ask. That’s why we need your ID, and why stolen hardware doesn’t come through this door.

Common questions
Before you drive over.
Is my motherboard worth more with the CPU still in it?
Yes, noticeably. A matched board and processor that we can post and test is a platform someone can build on, and it prices well above the two parts sold separately. Bring the memory too if you have it.
Do you buy motherboards that do not post?
We will look. Boards fail in ways that are sometimes repairable and sometimes not, and we will not know until it is on the bench. If it is genuinely dead we will say so and recycle it for you free.
What if I have lost the I/O shield?
Not a problem, just a small deduction. Plenty of boards arrive without one.
